Human Kinetics founder Rainer Martens tells his story of growing up a young German boy in Kansas after moving to the United States following the war, using sports to fit in with his peers, coaching at the collegiate level, and making the tough decision to leave his prominent position at University of Illinois as a Kinesiology professor and researcher to start an education company now known as Human Kinetics.
